I'm completely confident that those holdings in no way influence their policy decisions, and that advance knowledge they may obtain of policy changes that could affect the market price of those securities would never cause them make buy or sell decisions in advance of ordinary investors.

That would be grossly unfair, and (I would think) illegal.

Wasn't President Trump required to put his securities in a blind trust for the duration of his Presidency? I seem to recall something like that.

They ALL do. That is why the tech companies can write themselves a blank check and do anything they like.
