There is grace and forgiveness, but there is also justice and punishment. I wonder why a truly repentant murderer would not stop seeking parole and serve out their sentence as part of their penance and to make some small restitution to the family of the victim and to society. The family could then have the peace of not having to keep tabs on parole requests and showing up to testify as to why the murderer of their loved one should not be paroled.
