The liquid CBD being sold today is way more concentrated than what people absorbed by smoking in the past.

How many people know that CBD, like grapefruit, interacts negatively with many drugs.

CBD extracts from hemp are most common source, and have ZERO hallucinogenic THC. ZERO, so that if someone is using any hemp sourced CBD product and claims “wow, i can really feel it”, that’s Ram’s Dung.

CBD does have some great ant-inflammatory effect (anecdotal, personal use) that borders on dramatic, for some chronic problems. But nothing like smoking weed.

CBD, though, CAN interfere will some other actual medications. Grapefruit interferes with some drug absorption. Not sure if same mechanism, but no drug company is likely to say anything good re:CBD.

Move to Colorado, and get gummy bears with THC, that’s the fun stuff, if so inclined.

Grapefruit, one per day lowers your cholesterol, so you don’t need drugs....

I hate grapefruit, always have hated it! Mom made us eat it so we piled a ton of sugar on top to make it palatable.

Pink is not so bad but I have not eaten grapefruit since I left home.
Now I am warned off of grapefruit when I take certain prescription medications.

Grapefruit inhibits cytochrome P450. See Grapefruit–medication interactions: Forbidden fruit or avoidable consequences?. Drug doses are calculated with the expectation that P450 is going to degrade a specific amount of the drug before it can be used. Consuming grapefruit knocks out P450 and the undegraded dose may be an overdose.

So, get a prescription for the dose of med that will increase to your desired dosage when you have your grapefruit or juice. Win-win.
