The thing that I find interesting about this is that my doctor wants me to take Benadryl and Pepcid AC first whenever I get a bee or wasp sting BEFORE I use my epi-pen. So far, I’ve had to do it twice, and never needed the epi-pen after all. The hives and the allergic reaction seem to stop dead in their tracks. Of course, the Benadryl makes me drowsy, so I need to make sure I’m not going to be driving when I take them.

You must not have the really fast violent reaction. Those kind of people wouldnt have time for the Pepcid and Bendryl to react to the histamines.
