When I was in Jr. High, some of the boys would bring in their rifles for Show and Tell. Yes...it was a LONG time ago.

I remember when rifles on rifle racks in the back of pickup trucks were a common sight, especially during deer season.

These days, you’d have Karen hyperventilating and calling the cops.

In high school, we lived in the country in SW PA.

I still live there.

We were 1/2 mile from the school.

My Sister went to the Catholic school and her bus stop was on the way to my school, so I would walk her to her stop and wait, with her for her bus.

I would have my 16 gauge Remington on my shoulder.

No one would ever bother her.🤣

Then, on to high school.

The shotgun went in my locker, but unloaded, the shells on the shelf.

I refunished the stock in wood shop class.

I would hunt the big fields, on the way home for pheasants and rabbits.

Those were the days.
