Cool! Just like the sandstone formations in the desert southwest, but on a micro scale!

Too bad the photographer didn't use image stacking to get an infinite depth of field.

The photographer may have wanted a shallow depth of field to emphasize a few pillars.

its good to see pics that are not enhanced or manipulated in anyway... nasa’s astronomy pic of the day is an absolute disaster because of it!! js...
