Many of our federal agencies have been politically weaponized. Its a terrible thing to unleash this kind of surveillance power against the citizenry. The Dems love it, of course, and the Repukes fear it so we’re never going to get the toothpaste back in the tube.

They need to stay in their little paradise states or districts they created and pay their fair share. NOT retire to a free state.

If Trump wins he should ‘advise’ 100 FBI agents to quit b4 Dec. 31.

The “foundation” has to be one of the biggest scams going.

Same reason all the Repukes retired in 2018.

It’s a common loophole designed for the wealthy.

Create a “charitable foundation”.

Donate much of your wealth to it.

Appoint your kids as “trustees” with high salaries.

Cross-deal with other non-profits set up by your wealthy friends, who then cross-deal with your foundation.

All they have is “vote for us because we’re not Democrats"

According to the GOP apparatchiks on this forum, that's all that is needed.

The GOP wants us to vote for them because they’re not Dems.

Well, I would argue they are not really Republicans either.

It should be called the Seinfeld Party. A party about nothing.

The same goes for all those Repubics that jumped ship in 2018. Most of OUR Congress is no good.

Like the Clinton Global Initiative.

Fly around the world in private jets. The “charity” picks up the tab. Put your daughter in charge.

The “foundation” has to be one of the biggest scams going.

Who wrote all the legislation on foundations, personalizing campaign funds, Congressional exemptions from insider-trading laws, and a myriad of other benefits for the Congress critters and their friends? Anyone else see a problem here? I hate to be pessimistic but Trump might have been our last chance to turn this around which is why he was so reviled by the Swamp critters.

Good point - it’s a REALLY STUPID law that needs to be changed. Any unspent money should simply go into the general treasury. While it’s not much money, by Treasury standards, it at least gets rid of that self-enriching path.

Bob Dole resigned his Senate seat in order to run for President, he did not 'retire'. Upon defeat in the 1996 POTUS election then yes, he had effectively 'retired', but it's doubtful that he'd go thru all that trouble just to gain the $40 million.
