New York City will take a patient’s race into account when distributing potentially life-saving COVID treatments, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene revealed on their website.

The city will “consider race and ethnicity when assessing individual risk,” reads the agency’s official guidance from Dec. 20, which adds that “longstanding systemic health and social inequities” can contribute to an increased risk of dying from COVID-19.

Apparently, the main requirement to hold office or any position of authority in NY, particularly NYC, is to be absolutely INSANE. A lunatic. A nutcase without a shred of cognitive ability. Who ever heard of denying lifesaving medication to people suffering from a potentially fatal disease because they were white? And therefore have this made up crap called "white privilege"? Reading the absolutely off-the-wall lunacy of these officials about whites "being able to stay home and work from there while poor blacks had to physically report to work" and other assorted baloney could make one projectile vomit. Even the new governor of NY has just enacted a bunch of very probably unConstitutional laws, namely, a "slew of new laws signed by Governor Hochul aimed at “address[ing] discrimination and racial injustice.” One of the new edicts formally declares racism to be a public health crisis." Pure lunacy! NY and particularly NYC have been circling the porcelain sea for a while, and if outrageous stuff like this doesn't drive the last taxpaying citizen out of their foul living space for a saner place to live and work, it will soon.

People living in NYC (as I have) believe they are living in the center of the universe, in the middle of all the action, part of all that matters. Living there gives you a certain pop culture credibility. Putting up with a ridiculous cost of living, walking past piles of trash in Manhattan on garbage day, living in small apartments that cost more per month than mortgage payments on a large house in Connecticut are all just things you put up with so that you can be at the center of the human universe.
