"Auld Lang Syne" by Silver, Wood and Steel - HAPPY NEW YEAR!
"Sliver, Wood & Steel" Group / "Engine 7" Album ^ | 2006 | Silver, Wood & Steel

This is one of the greatest renditions of "Auld Lang Syne" I've heard. It's kind of a bluegrass / Americana mix with a great fiddle and (I think) ukulele.

Of all things, I heard it a few minutes ago on an Accuweather review of New Years celebrations around the world and Shazam identified it for me. It was recorded in 2006

What do you think? Anybody else like this? I just played it about ten times in a row.

Happy New Year, everybody. Here's to a future where Brandon is just a horrible and fading memory!

There isn’t much information about this band on the web, but I found they played at the “Spokane Folklore Society’s” Fall 2006 festival. The Folklore Society’s description is “Silver Wood and Steel (Athol, ID) old time, bluesy bluegrass and Americana .”

What a coincidence — Athol, Idaho is just 16 miles north of us!

Here’s a YouTube link for those who don’t want to pay Spotify:

Wonderful bluegrass!

And here’s a resplendent traditional Celtic version with bagpipes and regalia, featuring Rod Stewart, Live at Stirling Castle, that really moved my soul:
