This is madness. Are the hired help at these places be the ones to check vaccine status? Will they throw people out?
What if somebody doesn’t show proof, buys their coffee and muffin, saying that it’s to go, but then they decide to sit down and stay there. Will the harried hired help be compelled to confront people?
And what about Starbucks policy on restrooms, where they decided non customers can use thier restrooms?

You are right. But there will be tangible consequences in time, when businesses see a drop-off in custom and a further loss of revenue from time lost checking papers. And when some close their doors permanently.
Something like 40% of the country does not have “ze papahs” and most businesses can’t afford to fob off that percentage of customers.
In other words, this ain’t gonna end well.
Get out of the big cities which have become Fauci Flu pits of despair. Good old-fashioned American liberty is much more prevalent in the suburbs and rural areas.
