I’m really surprised to see the map that shows high rates of obesity in much of the Arab world; with all of their fasting, I would expect obesity to be rare.
"Their fasting" as meaning Ramadan is from sunrise to sundown, which is followed by family/communal feasting, which, while building community (and excels that of Western culture in general and is attractive to damned converts - but if you leave Islam then you see the negative power of it ), is a bad health practice.
