I got a lot of clothes in HS at JC Penny. It was a good department store.
Anyone remember Ivey’s? It was a regional SE chain that was a major competitor of Pennys. They were the two anchor stores at the Winter Park Mall (FL). The Winter park Mall was one of the original malls in the SE. Opened in 1965 when we moved to Florida.
Malls have been a big part of American culture for a long time. IMO it’s a shame to see how things have evolved. But even without the internet and online shopping liberal crime has doomed them.
