Who cares - not me.
Every parent knows that children’s scribblings must be jettisoned eventually.
Some of them are adorable and worth featuring on the fridge for a week or two. Some can be filed away for “posterity” - they are that good.
But even those, at the very most, will be kept in a time capsule until the child’s adulthood, to be presented ritualistically - and then thrown away.
Let’s face it - the so-called “art” we are talking about here is no better than a child’s scribblings - just because some people are dumb enough to pay for it doesn’t make it art.
He is a graffiti artist who spray-paints stencils on buildings and keeps his identity secret.
I thought the same thing. Banksy previously shredded one of his works of art at auction

What better way to show the present confluences of "modern art" - street art, destroyed by an offbeat, cult character actor, in a hyped entertainment/TV spectacle?

Tarantino is an absolute genius when it comes to dialogue, nobody comes even close to that guy. Have you ever seen that movie “True Romance”, the “Eggplant scene” with Walken and Dennis Hopper? Absolutely brilliant, Tarantino wrote that.

Yep. Great scene. Hopper knew what was up so he goaded Walken into killing him quickly. One of the most powerful scenes in all filmdom. I wish Tarantino has used half that much writing talent in that never ending boring bar scene in “Death Proof.”
Banksy approved of what happened. They got his okay to do it
I feel the same way about music. 99.999% garbage. Still, there are islands of inspired beauty here and there.
Thanks.
If you don't own the canvas you don't own the painting it's just better than average graffiti.
The pub scene in “Inglorious Basterds” is a clinic on how to build tension in a scene. That and the opening Hans Landa scene, as well. You know what’s going to happen, but still you’re on the edge of your seat.
Lol, I was just thinking about that scene.
Is there anything else that you would like someone to look up on the internet for you?
Yes, music is the same.
My subjective standards for what I consider to be “legitimate” art or music are purely matters of opinion - nothing more.
However, when there is a story about Christopher Walken destroying something that (in my opinion) was not legitimate art in the first place - it is perfectly within my right to not care that it got painted over.
My taste in art is subjective - but so is another person’s outrage over a painting getting defaced.
Even if the artist gave his permission...???
(learn to read)
Why are they blaming Walken for that? He must have been directed to do it
It’s not like he shot anyone.
