Yeah, no doubt about that. But it was more than that. Too much money to be made by not looking for quick and inexpensive cures. And the politics. They wanted to prolong human suffering for political advantage.
I don’t think it’s only that. I don’t recall DJT ever promoting ivermectin, and they’ve tried to suppress it, too.

Yet the powers to be, money hungry and political control freak oriented insist that these “Shots” are the only thing and the next best thing to sliced bread even so there are other effective and less damaging ways and means available to get this epidemic under control. But no money can be made with it, so they keep this epidemic going and along the way keep on killing people.

Well Trump was still the president and he did not make a stand as our leader. Scott Atlas was preaching the truth from day one Trump brought him in but then he didn’t back the guy and he left fauci in place ( along with a slew of other hideous beasts he left in place).
And then he pushed operation warp speed and we’re suffering the consequences now. And all Trump has to say about the vaccines is that they’re good and everyone should take them. If Trump wants to come back as our leader he needs to suck it up and start facing the facts about these vaccines and humbly admit he’s capable of making mistakes. Personally I would admire it so much but the fact that I’m basically certain that he won’t tells me that he is not the man we need leading us in the future. If you think my opinions are way off then I ask you to ponder this. Imagine it’s the run-up to the 2024 election and Trump is continually asked about the vaccines and we see what they’re doing and how they are being used by the vile left. And he continues to just say they were good and it was the right thing to push them. He will be losing support left and right. So the sooner he deals with this issue the better.
