SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Jim Bob Duggar announced on Friday his candidacy for Arkansas State Senate District 7, which includes Springdale, Johnson, Goshen, and Elkins.
The seat was vacated on Thursday by Republican Lance Eads, who resigned to take a lobbying role.
Jim Bob Duggar, a Republican born in Springdale, previously served in the Arkansas House of Representatives for four years (1999-2002).
He is best known for his family’s TLC reality television show, 19 Kids and Counting.
“I’m running for State Senate because these are unprecedented times in our nation,” Jim Bob Duggar said in a social media post announcing his candidacy. “Out-of-control bureaucrats have put politics over common-sense policy with government mandates that force people to choose between earning a paycheck and violating their personal rights and beliefs.”

Na I’m enjoying the show. I never watched 19 Kids and Counting but now with the scandals it’s interesting as all hell. Now many youtubers are all over this.
Not kidding every time that family farts, some youtuber covers it. The whole situation just makes me giggle.
With that said however I don’t feel Jim Bob should be in public office. He and it ain’t shit wife covered up Josh’s sex abuse so what other sex abuse would he cover up while he would be in a public office? Yea that does concern me just a bit.

Knowing nothing about Alabama politics or local news, I have no opinion about the suitability of this Jim Bob Duggar person. I do think, however, the US Senate definitely needs to have a Senator Jim Bob from Arkansas.

They both were. Go back and watch “14 kids and pregnant again” the first TLC special. Think about it. 14 kids and two adults living in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. How much privacy do you think they really had? I don’t care how many long skirts and sleeves a person wears in that tight of living conditions there is no room for privacy. I’m darn sure Josh, who was the oldest caught Papa Duggar doing the nasty with Michelle more than once. How else did he learn what he did at age 13?
