My wonderful married brother has a mother-in-law + sister-in-law in addition to a wife. I couldn’t even take care of one woman. 40+ years. Then he had 3 daughters. The girls managed to marry first class guys and he’s happy in his old age. His one son was needed to prove he wasn’t shooting blanks.

Good. That was an a-hole move on her part.
On my first date with my future hubby, we had company.
His dad and mom (who needed a new car after Dad had hit one of his many deer over the years), his two sisters, and his two aunts.
Still not sure how our date morphed into a car buying trip to a favored local dealer, but I rolled with the flow, had a lovely time, and gathered much sympathy and good will when a seagull dropped a load on my head. I treated the incident with rosy cheeked self-deprication, and could tell I had made a very good impression, on the ladies at least, when Mom and the aunts immediately dug out beautifully embroidered hankies from bottomless handbags and offered their handiwork to me.
It’s a lovely memory for me. (Well, not the seagull part.) Hubby still laughs his backside off when thinking about it. Which is fine since I love to see his smile.
Dates can be different. :-)

My sister did a runner on a blind date once - a couple minutes after she found out the guy had voted for Clinton. Said she was going to the restroom, but went home instead.

We had a couple of cats when I was growing up. My favorite was a large 20 pound cat whose father had to have been a bobcat. He’d usually find a spot on my bed to sleep on...he didn’t mind when I rolled over on top of him.
Never had much of a desire for a cat after that, personal preference I suppose.
