Officially today we hit 70% of the Japanese population double vaccinated against COVID (Pfizer and Moderna are the approved ones so far, domestic pharma Shionogi is on the way I think, not sure about AstraZeneca, J&J not accepted). In the last 7 days, Japan has had 1 infection per 100K people, which is 1% our peak reported 28 August. I look at Romania for example which is a basket case and was just reported on BBC news in a news flash that their hospital situation is collapsing and they are calling on EU for help, problem attributed to considerable fake news in SNS in Romania. They are at 540 infections per 100K, with an effective double vaccination rate of the population at 29.5%.
