True, but even at its native res which is similar to qhd (2560x1440) the rendering is flawless. None of my previous mobile devices were this good. And besides, with a simple usb -c cable you can add a true 4k desktop monitor to the ipad.

That device has a Thunderbolt 4 connector. With that, you can display on most 4k screens now on the market. (Thunderbolt 3 or 4 will accept USB-c cables, and will talk USB-c to whatever device is on the other side.)

A MacBook screen may not be 4K, but the video source may be 4K and rendering it live to a MacBook’s massive pixel count still requires computing power many notebooks don’t have.
