California is obviously a big part of it as most Chinese shipments land there, but many ports on the east coast are backlogged now too.
And it’s about to get worse. CARB’s gonna force all vehicles over 14k with diesels to get strict biannual smog inspections, including diesel electric engines for trains. Boats are included too. Either you get the inspections or you wire up to your engine(on your dime of course) a monitor that will tell carb when your engine is having issues, so they can fine you. They call it “ditching dirty diesel”
