I have been using it for about a year. https://vivaldi.com"Next best among up-to-date browsers (you can hack it to get multiple tab rows ) after Firefox Quantum portable (so you can also use legacy Firefox at the same time and which you can also hack to get multiple tab rows). And along with Waterfox classic (most FF legacy extns work) then I use two profiles of Firefox ESR 59
which enable Tab Mix Plus and a few other extensions which enabled more key customization than the whole of other browsers.

If a page balks, try it again “Shields down,” if it still balks, copy/paste the URL into a different browser, and see how it acts. Chrome would be most identical to Brave. I've found a few sites that simply won't load correctly under Brave but work fine with Chrome. I figure they probably made some backroom deal with Google...or the NSA.

Which page is it? Sites like Gateway Pundit load about 200 network requests (FR loads 3) in the background and you lack the resources to handle the load.

"My “weak” laptop used to have 2GB; upgrading to 4GB was dramatically better. I keep lots of tabs open (30+), and when I come back out of sleep mode on my Win7 laptop, there’s a lag "I would think so! 4GB is about the minimum just for the OS and browsing. But RAM is expensive now. Maybe clone your OS to a SSD (128 GB for under $30) and boot from that, using your old drive for storage.

I have a puzzlement on my Windows 10 desktop. I use three programs to search/read the web; DuckDuckGo with Opera, Microsoft Bing, and Brave. When done on the web, I close all browsers and run CCleaner. It tells me that Edge Chromium is running and asks to close it. I click okay, it says it’s taking a long time and should it force it. A couple of seconds after I say okay, CCleaner starts. When I look on Task Manager when I get the first message, Edge doesn’t show as a running apt.

When I look on Task Manager when I get the first message, Edge doesn’t show as a running apt.
Modern browsers open up multiple PROCESSES that sometimes stay open after he app is closed.
