The horror.
Oh, the horror...
When you let the Gov’t decide how to feed the kids, dictating your desired curriculum to the Gov’t schools seems to be unlikely.
Wow, return to the 60’s when I took bagged lunches to school.
Parents have to feed their kids? What a disaster.
Wow, parents actually taking care of their kids. What an idea
You can wear your life savings!
Gee, a highlight of school was always breaking out a new lunchbox.
In other words what most parents do every day
That’s what we used to do back in ancient times.
So, what are we worried about here.
When are they going to tell parents to stop driving their kids to and from school and letting them walk the gew blocks instead?
Why not just educate them at home? Duh!
PB & J. Oh the horror.
Maybe that’s why I’m so loony. Baloney and cheese on wonder bread. Sometimes PB&J with an apple. And....horrors, I would get a little can of those fried shoestring potatoes! Sometimes I even was forced to take chicken noodle soup in a thermos.
And don’t forget that little snack sized box of raisins.
My lunches were so expensive that it was just wrong for the government to make my parents sacrifice to feed me. Of course, getting up in the morning and making my lunch was also beyond the call of duty.
I’ll let you in on a secret. My mother was a bipolar alcoholic and about half the time when I was in grade school I made my own breakfast and lunch on school days. That ought to be sufficient to get me excused from robbing a bank. Instead I’ve wasted my life being responsible.
Its worse. .
The Maryland schools are feeding the entire POC family Breakfast , lunch , and dinner in the summer too.
They actually come in and demand these meals .
That is how I grew up.
I still bring lunch to work, it cost me about 3 bucks a day.
I watch the kids head for their cars to dump 10 bucks a day.
It saves me $1,800 a year.
They still don’t get how I can afford expensive camera gear...
.
What a novel concept.
I thought it was babylonbee at this point.
Baloney
what a novel idea? go back to “ancient times” of a few decades ago, of parent’s providing meals for their kids.
2nd thought maybe the schools real concern is the lack of chemicals the kids will miss getting in the school provided food (IE: extra hormones, whatever other crap that seems to make each generation have new flood of health issues)
The only time I ate at school was not dogs during one o’clock session.
