If you’re in the ocean, you’re swimming with sharks. I have witnessed a 10 foot hammerhead grab a fish off of somebody’s line at the end of pier. One hundred yards on the other end of the pier there were dozens of people swimming. You could see baby hammerheads frequently just a few feet off the beach. And it’s not just sharks. I saw a guy jump off the pier and a huge stingray swam out from under him. He said he landed on it. There’s a lot of stuff out there that will hurt you but it rarely ever does. Take a look at this:

I walked into the surf at Cocoa Beach and a giant stingray came out of the sand under me. It just swam slowly ahead while I ran like heck.
