A screamer? OK,if she's a screamer either *you* take a walk when the screaming starts...or tell her to do so. This is a punk of the worst sort...the kind of guy that the death penalty was *designed* for.

Without a Cellphone or any credit cards the Feds will not find him unless he makes a dumb mistake...If he is smart he would get out of the Country and go to South America.

The murder laws of each State are can be different from another State and complicated as to what constitutes which charge.

Deer season is coming to the Appalachians. Hunters put game cameras out as early as mid August in our neck of the woods. If I were a fugitive on the run, I’d avoid this area this time of year.

I suspect that he will be charged under Federal statutes since apparently the murder happened in a National Park. The Feds still have the death penalty.

there’s rt 19 and rt 129 that go north along with secondary roads

there’s also a lot of wilderness in the big bend area of florida where these roads travel through...

“In which case, the worst thing he did was run.”

It doesn’t seem like many of the hothead posters in this blog are blessed with the ability to read into context. I understood what you said is speculation and Third Degree is still murder. And yes the worst thing he did was to run if that were the case.

As you and others have pointed out, if he is in the Appalachians then he can disappear for a long time. He’d be an anti-hero but still a mountain man. The question is whether he could survive without human interaction forever. I’m thinking no. So he’ll turn up someday. The other question is whether he’ll try to extend that by slipping into the mountains of some other country.

We’ll see.

It plays to context. It can change the charges from deliberate to accidental or undue care. That’s why it matters.

He’s going to likely get 25 years on everything, no matter what. He crossed state lines so it became a federal case. He will get, if he’s convicted, a sentence that can’t be bargained down even if he gets a more comfortable prison.

Nobody here is saying that what he did is anyway acceptable, but the system accounts for intent. Not counting intent, but going big is why Casey Anthony is a free woman.

I understand. But there is no way to measure what was in this guy's brain when he was doing the killing. Only his actions can be accounted and judged. And his actions in no way lead us to an accidental event. If he had called the police immediately and stayed with the body, then maybe.

I see. It was partially Gabby's fault for resisting when the psychopath boyfriend was killing her.

You are FINALLY understanding how the new Amurika works.....
nothing is ever the fault of the perpetrator (unless it's white, male, christian, gun owner, etc)

That’s an issue for the defense and prosecution.

When one drives drunk he/she typically doesn't intend to harm others. But as I saw...all too often...during my years working in a big city ER they often do. If I was a juror in his trial the only way I'd consider "lack of intent" is if he had some kind of brain tumor or had sustained some kind of devastating brain injury.

The same may not be true with you but *I* have had experiences with one or two temporarily irrational women and never have I even laid a hand upon them while in that irrational state.

"Intent" may be important up north but to me the result of an act is,99% of the time, all I need to determine "intent".

“It is possible that he isn’t there, but does he have the ability to be elsewhere, such as in New York with a brand new ID or can he speak Spanish well enough to go to Mexico?”

It’s easier to disappear into Mexico than people think. I know a guy who spent half his life living in Mexico to avoid paying alimony to three ex-wives. Knowledge of Spanish minimal.

You can live just outside the tourist areas very cheaply. He used to rent a bungalow, had a woman to do the cleaning, cooking and grocery shopping for little or nothing compared to life in the US. He would live there until he ran low on cash, cross back to the US, work under the table for no more than eight to twelve months then disappear back into Mexico.

His downfall came when his dad’s health took a hit and he came back and stayed too long. An ex-wife heard about his dad’s health and hired a private detective to keep an eye out for him.

“Does he have enough wealth to be self-sufficient or will his parents inadvertently give his position away when they transfer money to him?”

A prepaid debit card would solve that problem easily enough. No ID required to get one. Just buy one, set it up with any name you pull out of thin air and have someone put money on it.

With all that said, my money goes on Dirty Laundrie making his way north on the Appalachian Trail to New York. His parents probably set him up with cash via debit card, a prepaid cell phone and arranged his escape to New York where he will be met by family or friends. He can then disappear into NYC or any other large population area in the state. N.Y. can’t even catch their own criminals much less one from out of state.

Since Dirty Laundrie has already crossed multiple state lines the FIBbies should be monitoring the entire extended Laundrie clan and their friends. But we know the FIBbies aren’t that competent.

Correction:

Should be “Federal Lands” not “National Park”.
