They’re changing history, but here we have the original reactions. So these will stay important.
I only edited out commercials and repeat segments. It was a massive job because the software that converts the original tapes end up making the result out of synch. Mouths don’t match up with sound. So it’s necessary to keep taking out or putting in sound or image 1/30ths of a second to get the synch back. Luckily I learned to do that when I was editing a slow speaking VP and had to take out frames to make him appear faster spoken, and therefore more assertive.
I still have four tapes that I recorded at a slower speed that I haven’t done the synching for, so have never put them up. Think they’re war tapes.
