Portland's far-left mayor has admitted that his "hands-off" approach during last summer's civil unrest - that allowed Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters to run wild in the city - was a mistake. On Wednesday, Mayor Ted Wheeler admitted it was "not the right strategy" to allow armed protesters to clash in the Oregon city on August 22, with no intervention from police.

DUH
It is not enough to say you are sorry.
Now, with a third of force fine, he can stick with restrained.
Otherwise I'll assume he's just reading some polls and doing some spin.
I think he’s retiring as mayor. That’s why he’s taking full responsibility somhus liber successor has nothing to take responsibility for.
Im sure the mortgage on the house in the Carribean is ahead nicely.
Now, with a third of force gone, he can stick with restrained.
A real Sherlock Holmes that Portland mayor!
But no indication that he’s going to do anything differently in the future.
These a-holes always come back with the old...”gosh, golly, maybe I was wrong” BS. Like that fixes everything. Tar and feather just one of these commies and the rest will fall in line.
At the very least this failed individual should resign; although with the amount of damage this politician deliberately inflicted on the American citizens faced with the terrible misfortune of living in Portand, hara-kari would be the more honorable thing to do. (How quaint that word “honorable” has become in America.)
Maybe he’s saying that because Trump is no longer Pres. If he’s elected in 2024, Antifa running wild will be good again.
Blaming it on law enforcement:
He said Portland was still “trying to find the right recipe” for handling riots – seeking a solution somewhere between an “overwhelming police presence” and restrained law enforcement, the AP reported.
The damage to the country has been done. Women feared out of control violence by voting for Trump, so they opted for Biden.
I think he’s retiring as mayor.

Prolly a springboard to higher state office for him. He’ll have lots of liberal support.
But that's not what Wheeler actually said, because in the second paragraph, the article says:
On Wednesday, Mayor Ted Wheeler admitted it was "not the right strategy" to allow armed protesters to clash in the Oregon city on August 22, with no intervention from police.
That seems to be referring to the August 22 clash between the Proud Boys and Antifa, where one of the Proud Boys was shot. That is not at all the same thing as saying he was wrong about letting BLM and Antifa go nuts in last summer's protests.
exactly
Ya Think???
“Mistakes were made”
The Clinton Defense card is played again..
