I actually had it and have the IgG and IgM antibodies.
I was taking Ivermectin once a month when I caught it and it was just a mild flu.

Having had Covid (back around Easter), I will say this (I’m 62 and in fairly decent health)....for me, it was a 3-star flu. I’m not vaccinated, and this ran through a 10-day period of a manageable fever, some nausea, and a fair amount of bed-rest. After it ended, probably another 10 days of a cough, and low-energy, then I was back to normal. The low-energy business reminded me of having pneumonia as a kid (which I rated twice as bad as this Covid-stuff).
Maybe if you aren’t in great health, or were in your 70s/80s...it might make sense. But having it...gives you the antibodies and a future episode ought to be a lesser thing.
Oh my gosh....just read you’re 45! and you’re still feeling pressure from parents? How about just saying it’s not open for discussion....and end the conversations.
