IMO working remotely is a trap.
Look at the money you are saving, not having to come into work, we can pay less for your position...

I read recently where that’s a real thing. I cannot remember or recall which companies and corporations were considering it. But in order to cut expenses and have less expensive real estate to occupy, they were offering employees the option to stay working at home if employees agreed to take a cut in pay. From 10% up to maybe 25%
I myself worked from home for 12 months. Even now I go to the office three out of five days. Would I take a 25% pay cut to work at home every day? No. But I would take a 10% cut.
Or pay someone even less in a lower cost area. It’s all remote, so why pay US urban wages?
The owner is actually a decent guy, and treats us better than the industry standard (the standard is pretty low).
Until the lease expires, he isn’t really saving much by having us work at home - in fact, the upgraded infrastrucure probably means its actually costing him more.
Working remotely, when the figure out the job can be done in India for pennies........
No you can’t pay me less. Nor only may you not lower my salary, you’ll now need to lease my third bedroom at office space rates.
