'Tucker Carlson Tonight' host weighs in on the push for mask regulations in some U.S. cities despite vaccination status

Mainly for Oregon FReepers, but anyone here who's not a troll will enjoy this.
I sure did (watched/listened 3x).
This is how you ramp up public pressure against the unvaxed.
Good for Tucker.
It’s long past time these blue state governors got some pushback. At this point they’re doing nothing more than jacking their people around because they’ve discovered how much they enjoy wielding tyrannical power.
Now do Prickster of IL Tucker, the fat bastard…
It only bolsters her popularity with the idiots.
As Mike Rowe said:
‘The fact is, millions of reasonable Americans have every right to feel confused and skeptical. Those people you refer to, Steve – the ones now telling us that we can “get back to normal just as soon as everyone is vaccinated” – those are the same people who said, “two weeks to flatten the curve!”
‘Those are the same people who told us that masks were “useless” before they told us they were “critical.”
‘Those are the same people who told us that a return to normalcy would occur just as soon as “the most vulnerable” among us were vaccinated. Then, just as soon as “half the population” was vaccinated. Then, just as soon as we achieved “herd immunity.”
‘Those are the same people who told us they wouldn’t trust ANY vaccine developed under the last administration. Now, those very same people are belittling the skeptics!’
When do they get to vote on secession to Idaho? This year or next?
Of course, the unspoken truth is there really aren't all that many of the idiots. It's only the media that constantly gives them a platform and performs the illusion that they're some kind of broad popular "movement."
And as important as any of those statements….
Those are the people that have never missed a paycheck due to the restrictions they placed on the country.
Oh, there are plenty of the idiots in Oregon. I saw a tricycle with a “Kate Brown kept Oregon safe” sign on the back. I think we’re approaching 60 % vaccination rate. At some point, the moderate vaxxed want the unvaxed to get the vax just to open the State back up.
Thanks for posting this.
A little side note how Kate Brown got to be governor.
The previous governor, Kitzhaber (D) was up for re-election and it was pretty close against a republican. Kitzhaber was openly corrupt but the news media was told to cover for him.
Kitzhaber got in. The news media was told to expose the corruption and the newly re-elected governor was removed. Next in line, secretary of state Kate Brown. (D)
Had the corrupt press/TV exposed Kitzhaber before the election we would have had a republican governor.
And all because “Kate Says So,” and the media backs her up.
The people you’re talking about are adolescents never grown up, not at all worthwhile citizens of the state. But they get all the TV stations wanting to film their funny tricycles and their clown suits.
Good for Tucker.
We need to un-elect Kate Brownshirt.
I do the same from time to time (framing the facts on her ascension by the 'machine' in this state). Can't be restated often enough.
Nor how almost every corner of this government is stacked with cronies (supreme court, too).
From: Retain Mike Sent: Friday, August 13, 2021 11:37 AM Subject: Mask Mandate
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) came out with its latest policy about masks and our governor has mandated wearing them. But does it make any sense?
The best science the CDC can point to is a group of uncontrolled studies highlighting first such groups as 139 hairdresser clients, 382 sailors on the U.S.S. Roosevelt, 124 Beijing households, and 839 Thailand residents subject to contact tracing. All results come from observation followed by personal judgement, and none result from the mathematical disciplines used to evaluate rigorously complex environments. In the same article the CDC disparages the 2020 randomized controlled trial (RCT) in Denmark involving 4,862 participants, which found no benefit to wearing a mask to prevent infection.
The disciplines of a RCT divides participants into different groups on a randomized basis. Random assignment means that factors not specifically controlled can cancel each other out by appearing equally in both groups. One group receives the treatment (which in this case was the mask) and the other group does not. Researchers can isolate the one variable and are not able to introduce biases to produce a preferred outcome.
RCT’s are considered the highest standard for this type of research. Therefore, the most reasonable approach the CDC could take would be to use this study as a benchmark against which others would be evaluated. This represents an especially valid approach, since the first four combined from their May scientific brief have less than half the participants of the Danish study.
