The President is running out of the few options he gave himself.

The suicide bomber got close enough to do what they did.

Did the Taliban give direct approval? Maybe. Who knows.

Did a sympathetic Taliban soldier allow the bomber through? Maybe. Who knows.

We’ll never know.

But 3 options remain….

1. Maintain status quo until next week

2, send in more troops and equipment and try to retake the city. Doing that just endangers the lives of any and all foreign nationals that remain and after their heads are cut off, the Taliban just fades away like they did last time. Not to mention the losses that US forces will sustain. But the military industrial complex and Liz Cheney don’t care about that. They just want those contracts.

3. Retreat….doing irreparable harm to the US forever.

Can’t go after the Taliban anywhere else. Any actions against them elsewhere in the country will just be paid back to the people stranded and the airport is shut down.

And then the US has to contend with the fact that we’re not the only ones with all the toys anymore. And I’m not talking about M4s left behind behind by the ANA. I’m talking about Stingers and other shoulder fired SAM systems to take out our planes that have somehow come into the possession of the bad guys.

For the umpteenth time ... what happened and what continues to happen in Afghanistan is not a TRAGEDY, but an unfolding ATROCITY, committed by EVIL human beings (one of which, sadly is the current POTUS).

Words mean things ... something the left understands a lot better than we do.

Jesse Kelly ran for Congress here in my district in Arizona. This was back when we were having Tea Party rallies. I chatted with him at all of his public appearances here in town and he and I stood and watched and commented on a kind of soap box rant at a TP rally. He was bright, articulate, and very patriotic. Loved his wife, you could tell by how he talked about her when he wasn’t “on”. A good man. I voted for him. Unfortunately, he didn’t win.
