Did Brave add a “view selection source” feature?
Having to guess the HTML in a section is a pain in the...
Good to know. Are you Windows or Mac?
Windows. I was hesitant but spoke to my daughter and she told me she installed the latest and I told her I had heard of others having issues. She didn’t have any issues so I installed the new version in her presence and it was fine. Still looks the same, no major changes or issues for me.
I’m om a Mac. Will try in Win 7 Parallels
Only problem I kept having with firefox was youtube vids loading. Went back to edge
What version do you have?
Maybe doing a refresh of firefox may be the answer.

I have version 89.0.2 and I am being prompted to upgrade to version 91 which I have been dismissing as I can modify the look of the browser while the new ‘Proton” look either blocks or you have to search on the internet to find out how to make the changes to the look you want all over again.
You can block the ‘Proton” look in versions 89 and 91: https://winaero.com/how-to-restore-classic-look-in-firefox-89-and-disable-proton-ui/
I have read that later versions may block this ability all together.
Older versions. Scroll to near bottom. Get version 89.0.2 or earlier and stay there:
win64/ en-US/ Firefox Setup 89.0.2.exe then save to your desktop.

More here. People are asking about making changes to the look:

Just change you Theme.
I have an extremely low frustration threshold with new software and was extremely reluctant to dump Firefox and switch to Brave.
However, after finally taking the leap I can say I concur with rtkman. It was pretty painless.
Brave is noticeably faster than Firefox. But the main reason to switch is Brave’s focus on your privacy.
You can install Brave and leave Firefox alone. Try using Brave for a few weeks and see if you like it.
91.0
Some websites are just fine. Others? FR is wonky, the COVID-19 Dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) shows what once was a black background as snow white, the exact same color as the font on the total deaths column, and the headers for every column..
It's as if Firefox arbitrarily decided they only support one system of coding for colors, and if your website doesn't use that system, well, WE'RE going to pick up our marbles and not play! Screw you!

I think I found your problem.
pmaisonpierreTa DA!For me the steps below fix the UI problem seen in FFx 91.0 using MacOS (fields showing no color/inappropriate color, windows are transparent/skeletal in appearance where under-window is visible, inability to use some selection buttons)
1. Navigate in Firefox > Preferences > General > Language and Appearance > Colors...
2. In the pop-up panel you'll have 3 choices under
"Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above"
==> Select NEVER
3. For the box marked "Use system colors" ==> CHECK IT
4. Quit and restart Firefox 91.0
Wonderful! Thanks!
Yup. I still have FF on my computer but I rarely use it. Some things, oddly, don’t seem to work(for me anyway) and I’ll use firefox for that. But, coupled with Startpage as the search engine I see a considrbable reduction in garbage when I do may daily system clean up using Brave.
I never get that deep into what I’m looking at. I read the headlines and make my, sometimes inappropriate, comments. LOL!
Eh? You actually read the whole headline?
Who does that???
Well sometimes I make it to the end if it’s not too long.
