Are we still in the beginning or some part at a minimum

In the long term we are very late for a huge minimum. The long term combined solar isolation started to decline about 8,000 years ago. We are just late catching up to that change. Takes a while for that to pan to cool down.

But it is coming, just as it always has in the very real paleoclimatic model cycle.

Are we still in the beginning or some part at a minimum?

To misquote Churchill slightly, We are apparently just past the “end of the middle of the minimum” (between solar cycles 24 and 25), but still are in the “beginning of the beginning” of solar cycle 25.

Be very, very careful of these “projections” of any solar cycle: NASA-GISS and their cohorts in the various national solar labs have seldom been correct at anything but actual counts each month. Overall solar activities have been decreasing through each subsequent 11 year cycle since the late 1990’s. We do not, however, appear to be still sitting in a near-zero solar flare/solar sunspot level comparable to the Maunder Minimum.
