What is the Shielding Approach1? The shielding approach aims to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease (“high-risk”) and the general population (“low-risk”). High-risk individuals would be temporarily relocated to safe or “green zones” established at the household, neighborhood, camp/sector or community level depending on the context and setting.1,2 They would have minimal contact with family members and other low-risk residents.
Current evidence indicates that older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.3 In most humanitarian settings, older population groups make up a small percentage of the total population.4,5 For this reason, the shielding approach suggests physically separating high-risk individuals from the general population to prioritize the use of the limited available resources and avoid implementing long-term containment measures among the general population.

There is talk around the internet that Biden is preparing a major speech that will declare a crisis and lay out a 9/11 type plan for eradicating the virus (which is not possible). The administration is frustrated with the rollout of the vaccine as millions of Americans don’t want it, especially blacks and Hispanics.
Biden’s popularity is falling as inflation and unemployment are rising. Federal unemployment benefits are expiring
soon, as well as the freeze on evictions. They’re going to have to do something dramatic to salvage this already failing presidency leading into the 2022 midterms. At the very least they must keep the universal mail-in ballot and cheating scheme going until then.

Wow, just wow. I never thought I would see anything like this. They want to put high risk elderly folk in camps to save them? What will their last few years quality of life be? Not able to see their family everyday, not be able to see their grandchildren’s graduation or birthday parties or wedding.
Folks this should be horrifying. This is the CDC floating this idea. What the heck is going on? All you that push the vax, do you now see who you are supporting?
