Also might be a spurious correlation. If yiyr teeth are that bad, heart disease will likely get you before dementia does.

But I think we can all agree gum disease is bad, bad, bad.

Just take care of your choppers.

From the last paragraph...

“The authors emphasize that clinical trials are needed to test whether treating infections with P. gingivalis can reduce the development or symptoms of dementia.”

Sheesh, docs.

Reduce it anyway.

Prevention first, then a cure if needed

BTW, talk to Medicare about providing decent dental care.

Note to the green eyeshade guys: It’s a bleep of a lot cheaper than dementia care.

I have a very good long term friend who grow up there who tells me the same thing. And says the equipment is state of the art, not some Soviet 60’s tech.

Sorry you’re having to go to such extremes! At least you get a nice trip out of it and maybe take some vacation time with those hotel prices?

Or, those suffering from dementia don’t take care of their teeth all that well.

There was a movie I saw that was banned on Netflix but was shown on Pluto that linked crowns on teeth to dementia, with the theory that each tooth has an electrical conduit to the brain, and when the root of a tooth is hollowed out, it impacts the connection to brain as well as infections in 95% of all crowns form because its the only medical procedure where dead tissue is left in the body. They suggested just to yank them out.

Coincidence is not causation. What a dumb article.
