Of course that assumes there are responsible people around.

They’ll have to find some way of stifling Jill’s influence. I image she loves the new Edith Wilson either in reality or figuratively. Then there’s the problem Kamala. She’s demonstrated she can’t even occupy the VP chair without help.

For all the noise democrats made about invoking the 25th, it doesn’t work the way many people think it does. The writers were aware of the possibility of a hostile takeover so they put safeguards against it.

Right now, it takes the V.P. and a majority of the Cabinet to start the process. (Nancy floated the idea of having an ‘independent body’ appointed by the Speaker and the Senate Leader but that got nowhere).

But the President has the right to appeal the V.P./Cabinet action. As long as Biden can sign his name, he can object. In the end it would take 2/3rds vote of each house to remove him over his objection.

So now you’ve got to ask yourself, would you rather have Jill (Edith Wilson redux) in charge or Kamala Harris?
