Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is an experienced lawyer, skilled in the great game of words.
She made a good living craftily parsing words at one of the city’s top law firms.
Law firm politics, played on carpets in board rooms is one thing. But Chicago politics played on the concrete and asphalt of the blood-spattered Chicago Way is another.
And as a rookie mayor clearly overwhelmed by the job, she’s publicly proven herself to be woefully inept at leadership, crisis management and the dark arts of politics.
She has lost the city. She lost it when she failed to stop that second wave of downtown mass looting last summer. She continues to lose what’s left of it.
The city is now at an historic crossroads, as people vote with their feet and flee from street violence.
People who’ve been exhausted by the pandemic and the lockdowns are overwhelmed as homicides and shootings spike here as they spike nationally. Tourists are harassed, robbed, and even killed downtown.

No matter how much things go into the sewer, how many bad decisions are made, Lightfoot and her fellow travelers will never have to admit that they are the cause. She’s despicable through and through.

One could likewise write an article about Hitler beginning with lengthy praise for his "mastery" of the German language, his "crafty" rhetorical skills, his "political acumen."

Groot is the worst mayor in Chicago’s history. She makes Big Bill Thompson look like Aristotle and Fartin Martin Kennelly like Aquinas.
Lightfoot is insane. She doesn’t care what someone writes about her. Never has, never will. That’s why Democrats are so successful. They deceive people as though that’s the natural and right thing to do (a basic tenet of both communism/Marxism and extremist Islam).
Maybe the citizens of Chicago will, after more bodies are piled high and wide, esp. with little children, begin to realize that they elected an insane, lesbian-centered, Marxist-promoter as their mayor and get right of the bitch.
I think maybe Kass was being sarcastic ... later he alludes to elite politicians stepping over the bodies of crime victims.
