This a big deal.
As a young tenderfoot, I worked for a company that supplied the City of Chicago.
50% Chicago residents or more not unusual.
25% P.O.C or WAY more for 0bama’s building!
10% female or approved equal.
The list goes on and on...
Guessing that when the agreement becomes public all the percentages double.
And it is all but impossible to meet the lesser demands.
I was once sitting next to the CEO of the company when a city rep pulled a copy of paragraph xxx and made additional demands.
After some discussion, it was agreed that one additional full-time employee was required.
He said”Give me the address and will send a check”
This would be a no-show job for some heavy’s brother-in-law.
Some do in fact turn out to be good employees and are probably still working there.
Others are professional black do-nothings.
