Are they saying the guy deliberately ran them down?
I can see a distracted/impaired driver doing it unintentionally, but my normalcy bias doesn’t want it to be a deliberate act.

Hit and run, even with serious injuries, doesn’t justify the use of deadly force. Even chance we’re not getting the whole story.
That's not a "truck driver".
Details are sketchy, but the driver fled the scene and I presume he resisted.

The interesting thing is they stopped in in back of store, apparently out of sight, then shot him. Not effectively as he is still alive. Cheaper and more conclusive if he was dead. Tried looking for more about this incident but news seems scarce, so likely guy doesn’t fit with media’s preferred killers.
It has been a long time since the incident, with no more details on the accused, except he is a Caucasian male aged 35, and local. Odd.
