Someone didn’t trust the court system and took preemptive action.

Hmmm. Why take preemptive action? Why not wait and see what the courts do before committing murder?

Possibly. But you should know that the family of the girl he killed in the boating debacle, was a devout Christian family. I live in this costal area and have a friend whose husband is a professional charter boat fisherman. On the night of the boating accident he was on the water and had a very difficult time making it in to port. He said it was as bad a night as he remembered and later could not imagine six of these kids on a 17 foot boat was allowed to leave a party, where adults were, on a boat intoxicated. He said they were doomed.
