There was a study posted here on FR a few weeks ago that showed that DHA in modern supplements can cause cardiovascular issues as well. Perhaps there’s a balance that should be struck? Most modern fish oil supplements have EPA and DHA in certain concentrations. I’ve not seen one without DHA. YMMV.
Just eat a lot of salmon. (make sure it’s wild caught, and not farm-raised)
There are supplements that are only EPA but they are expensive. I vaguely recall the study you mention. Seems like it said DHA counteracts the heart health benefits from EPA if there is more DHA than EPA. I need to look at the study again to see if i have that correct.
