If she is too fragile to withstand competition then she should retire.

That’s what the media says about having freedom or voting in our own country. I don’t remember when we signed up to be ruled by the media.

The media could have a press conference in their backyard. If they wants to have coverage then they can act responsibly.

Why does the media get special privileges?

The media can act responsibly, if they want coverage. It’s a business for them too, and they need sports for their readership. It goes both ways.

Certainly but I could also see someone saying, "I won't answer any question unless it's about my court performance or the sport of tennis". Prying into personal lives is how tennis players like Monica Seles get stabbed.
