There is no difference.
They are both scams.

You are safer buying tulips.

It’s ARE scams.

But it’s absurd to buy an ETF. Just buy the currency, if one decided to invest.

The entire point in a crypto currency is to be free of the leeches in the middle. Free of gubmint and it’s corruption.

It won't be a real market until there are bets on the bets on the bets on Bitcoin.

People have got to be able to bet whether or not Bitcoin is going to go up down.

Then other people have got to be able to bet on whether those bets will pan out or not.

Finally yet others have got to be able to bet on whether those bets on bets pan out.

If we don't allow all of that to occur then we don't have a truly free market and we won't be able to truly know what the value of BitCoin is.

Bets on bets on bets on bets, especially ones that are leverage and ones between entities that are not tracked in any market are necessary to truly generate a real value for the consumer.

Isn't that how we were able to finally get a correct price on real estate even though it led to massive amounts of bankruptcies and foreclosures?

You can't make an omelet unless someone else's eggs are broken.
