Yeah a failure of 3GD would change everything. I don’t “mine” anymore....electricity way too expensive in Calif....I used to dabble in mining back in 2011 or so when it was done with CPU/GPU...ASIC chips are now the primary “mining” chips. I just run a node on & off to keep my copy of the total BTC blockchain up to date (i.e. my computer has a record of every single BTC transaction ever done since 2009).
