I’ve always thought of long songs on the radio (e.g. Stairway to Heaven) as being “DJ gotta take a dump” songs.
I won’t mention the station to protect the guilty, but know of a DJ who put on American Pie one night and tried to go through the McDonalds Drive-thru which was a block away from the station. Made it through the drive-thru and back to the station only to find he’d left his station keys sitting next to the board when he left.
He was the only jock in the building during that daypart.
It was a painful call to the PD to explain why the station was off the air and why he needed the PD to come and let him back into the station.
