This is shocking because it is unexpected.
You hear of jihadis raping or killing and you think “ ok, what’s new? Islam always does that”.
But a Bobby doing that is unusual.
The same way the Germans committing the holocaust was so horrifying, was because they were a highly civilised nation. Turks doing that? Ah ok...
It's not. I've seen other footage and the police were totally heavy-handed and zealous in their enforcement of COVID restrictions, blatantly tone-deaf considering the victim was following the safety guidelines that the police themselves had recently released only to be murdered by one of their own.
The police needed to have stood down and hung their heads in shame while the people expressed their anger.
