I think its much more about CLASS than race. English society has been class based since one man declared himself leader of his tribe and has never changed.
The royals are also firmly locked into the 19th century as Prince Phillip found out when he married Elizabeth II.
A navy man he was obsessed with efficiency and manpower requirements and abhorred inefficiencies. He wanted to drag Buckingham Palace into the 20th century.
Upon his arrival at the palace he discovered that if he was in his quarters and wished to speak with his Queenly wife he had to write a note on House of Windsor stationary, place it in a House of Windsor envelope then place that on a silver plate on his desk. A liveried servant would immediately take the tray to whomever the letter was addressed to and place the tray on the desk of the recipient. The servant would then return to his post at Prince Phillips quarters.
Elizabeth would, in turn, take the note from the plate read it, write a reply and HER servant would deliver it to Prince Phillip.
Extremely inefficient considering every room in the palace had a telephone.
Phillip rocked the boat so much that in 1956 he was sent on a world cruise, a “show the flag” type event to put him in his place. Five months after departure a chastened Phillip was allowed to return. Thereafter he dutifully walked three paces, not more nor less, behind the queen and never rocked the boat again.
Diana also found out about life at the palace. She was a breath of fresh air that the Queen Mother, Elizabeth I, found particularly distasteful. She had no problem speaking with the hired help. She would address the servants by name and had no problem interrupting a talk with, say..the Queen, to say hello to the Filipina maid. SHOCKING!
Servants once looking for her found her in the kitchen, perched atop a freezer, eating a bowl of cereal and talking to the kitchen drudges. SHOCKING!!
The difference between Prince Phillip, Princess Diana and the execrable Markle is the first two tried very hard to save their marriages.
Megs was just in it for the money and fame.

I find the timing of Meghan’s revelations suspicious. It’s too coincidental. We’ve been branded racist and many other things. Now they are coming for the royal family another stalwart of the western world. This whole thing stinks and I just cannot imagine someone in the royal family making a purported racist comment with the climate of the times.
Not terribly sympathetic to Diana. She grew up on Sandringham land. She knew the RF all of her life. Her grandmother, Ruth Roche, Lady Fermoy worked directly for the Queen Mother.
The Queen have more to offer.
