A man who fatally shot three neighbors rambled incoherently about being a comic book villain and demanded a helicopter before officers killed him, according to a 911 recording released today by Henderson Police.
Jason Neo Bourne kicked in the door of a neighbor’s apartment Nov. 3 and shot and killed two women, police said. He also wounded a 16-year-old girl and kidnapped a 12-year-old boy, police said.
Police and medics responded about 11 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 1400 block of Stonelake Cove Avenue, near Stephanie Street and Wigwam Parkway.
As officers were looking for the shooter, Bourne called 911, telling the dispatcher he was from the future and had killed someone.
“I want to introduce myself,” said Bourne, noting that his name was Bane, a supervillain in the Batman universe. He said he was doing a movie and that he and the boy wanted a helicopter — “a big chopper.”
Bourne told dispatchers he didn’t want to hurt the boy. But when they asked for his location, he told the boy to tell them.
“If you get your address wrong, I have to kill you,” he said on the recorded call.
