It was a pretty horrible crime, to be certain.

I’m reminded of three famous murderers in the Bible. The last two did it by proxy(proxies).

Moses
King David
the Apostle Paul

Perhaps someone can answer it better than I. I’m certain that there is no eternal hope outside the Savior. For any of us.

Don't forget Judas. If you go by what some other posters have said about Hitler being allowed into Heaven, Judas is the only exception to the rule. Even God has his limits.

And there were strong consequences for their actions......although redeemed

Moses had to flee after killing the Egyptian slave master .....
....and although he is esteemed now.....
.....God forbade him entering the Promised Land

David arranged for the murder of Bathsheba’s husband.....she and David watched their child, conceived out of wedlock, die
( but they went on to have Solomon, who became a great king)

Saul who became Paul was bloodthirsty in his zeal to kill Christians
When God redeemed him he became a new man, even with a new name
.....he was tortured and killed for Christ, and called himself the ‘chief of all sinners’
....but COUNTED IT ALL FOR JOY
He knew there was a home for him in Heaven!
