Still have hope....
A HUGE pile of broken glass has been dumped in our path forward, and overcoming it will involve crawling for MILES over that broken glass to get back to our original objectives.
It will hurt, there will be extensive blood loss, and no assurances that the end will come into sight for a long time, perhaps years. but the alternative is even more daunting, and ultimately, devoid of any road to betterment.
The militant command-and-control regime will emerge from its trappings of “equality” and “fraternity”, and proceed to exercise naked power, based more on whims than on any responsiveness to the needs and desires of the people, and will be patterned very much on the Communist Chinese Party regime. A hegemony will be established over all its neighbors and even localities at far reaches from the homeland, tied by economics and practice of selecting local “winners” and “losers” at the far-flung corners of this new empire.
Is there hope? Yes, because ALL history will not be erased, and there shall remain the mythical tale of a nation that broke out of the pattern, and thrived for a span of years over parts of four centuries. The ideals of freedoms extending to life, liberty, and the quiet enjoyment of property and its resulting fruits, through the efforts of the possessor of that property, and the relative light hand of a citizen-selected government responsive to the changing needs of its citizens, shall remain enshrined in various records and historical monuments of that vanished land, only awaiting the spark of freedom to unleash the vast potential of that set of principles.

Blue will have help from Red China But the south will have help from Russia and Quebec. Keep your head down and stay away from the hot spots. Battles will be fought in Mobile Bay, San Diego, Hot Springs and St Louis. New York City and Chicago. The Only winner will be Red China.
