“Ceres: the dwarf planet, which represents the largest known object in the Solar System’s main asteroid belt, in between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter”.
If Ceres is the largest known object in the Solar System why is it called a dwarf planet?

Ceres is the largest asteroid in the belt, but still small. It’s only about 240 miles in diameter and it’s gravity is about 3% of Earth’s. Our Moon for example is slightly over 1000 miles in diameter.

If Ceres is the largest known object in the Solar System why is it called a dwarf planet? Maybe we can call it a jumbo shrimp planet.
