Awesome, does anyone know enough about this to site a case that its been used to break open?
It would seem that any one-off could raise a fraud issue, but potentially not be. But, multiple cases are major red flag! I am sure there are statistics that show the probability of the law being broken and it not being fraud.
I’m no expert but I don’t think this sort of analysis is considered “proof” of anything in a court of law. But what it really is, is a big sign saying “Dig here”.
It’s very good justification for deep investigation.

YES! This is how they caught the fraud hidden in ENRON about 20 years ago!
